These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Global Intermove Relo (hereinafter “we” or “Global Intermove Relo”), and its customers (hereinafter “you” or “customer”) for international removals services. By using our services, you accept these conditions.
1. Purpose
These terms and conditions govern all international moving services offered by Global Intermove Relo, including, but not limited to, packing, transportation, customs clearance, and on-site assistance.
2. Services
2.1 Packing and loading
Global Intermove Relo is committed to providing professional packaging services. We use high-quality materials to ensure your goods are protected during transport.
2.2 Transport
Your goods may be transported by sea, air or land freight, depending on the specifications agreed at the time of ordering. Delivery times are estimated and may vary due to conditions beyond our control (weather conditions, customs regulations, etc.).
2.3 Customs formalities
Global Intermove Relo takes care of all customs formalities required for the import and export of your goods. However, it is the customer's responsibility to provide all the information and documents required to facilitate customs clearance.
2.4 Origin and destination services
We provide complete services, from on-site packing to loading, and from unloading to installation at destination, to ensure a worry-free move.
3. Quotation and Payment Terms
3.1 Quotes
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for a period of 30 days. Quotations include the total cost of services, excluding taxes, customs duties and other unforeseen costs linked to local regulations.
3.2 Payment
Payment is made in accordance with the terms agreed between the parties. Unless otherwise agreed, a 50% deposit is required on signing the contract, with the balance due on completion of the service. Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit card.
3.3 Cancellation
In the event of cancellation on your part, Global Intermove Relo reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee corresponding to the services already incurred. If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the moving date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount will be applied.
4. Liability and insurance
4.1 Responsibility
Global Intermove Relo makes every effort to ensure the safety of your belongings during the move. However, our liability is limited to damage caused by our direct negligence. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by unforeseen external events, such as weather conditions, strikes or customs regulations.
4.2 Insurance
Insurance covering goods in transit is available for the duration of the move. It is your responsibility to take out this insurance based on the declared value of your goods. In the event of refusal of insurance, Global Intermove Relo declines all responsibility for loss or damage.
5. Customer's obligations
You agree to :
- Provide all the information you need to organize your move.
- If agreed, pack your personal belongings in such a way as to ensure their protection.
- Assume all additional costs related to customs formalities if the information or documents provided are incomplete or erroneous.
- Be present during loading and unloading of goods, or delegate a trusted person to do so.
6. Modification rights
Global Intermove Relo reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. In the event of substantial modifications, we will inform you in writing or on our website. The version of the conditions applicable is that in force at the time the contract is signed.
7. Disputes and Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavor to resolve the matter amicably. If no agreement is reached, the competent court is located in the canton of Fribourg.
